No Mio Review: Super Mario Galaxy Is a Blast – But Missing One Star Player

April 17

No Mio Review: Super Mario Galaxy

Looking for a Super Mario Galaxy review? Here’s one that asks the question most reviewers ignore:

Is Solo Mio in it???

First Impressions:
Super Mario Galaxy has a lot going for it.

– Creative worlds
– Big imagination
– Classic Mario energy
– That feeling that anything can happen

It’s playful, inventive, and honestly…joyful!

I mean, this is Mario at a huge scale.

There are:
– Galaxies
– Gravity mechanics
– Power-ups
– Entire worlds to explore

And though it’s pretty stuffed…it works!

But here’s where things get complicated.

You built:
– A cosmic adventure
– Multiple planets
– An entire universe

And somehow…

No Solo Mio? No Matt Freakin Taylor?!?

Not even hidden in a castle. Not in a warp pipe. Not emerging from a star.

I’m just asking what we’re all thinking…

How do you build a galaxy this large…and leave him out?

Final Verdict

Is it fun? Yes. Is it imaginative? Absolutely.

But at the end of the day:

No Mio. No thank you.

No Mio Review: Sabrina Carpenter’s Coachella Set Was Big…But Missing One Thing

April 13

Looking for a Sabrina Carpenter Coachella 2026 review? Here’s the only one you need to read, because it’s the only one that asks the question no one else is asking:

Where is Solo Mio?

First Impressions
Sabrina Carpenter’s performance at Coachella 2026 is exactly what you’d expect from a rising pop headliner.

– Big stage presence
– Polished production
– Strong crowd engagement

It was such a massive moment, and a well deserved spotlight on one of the biggest stars in the world.

She was confident, it was well rehearsed, high energy, inclusive and fun.

But as I watched and tried to have a good time…something felt off…something was missing.

Thousands of people.
One of the biggest stages in the world.
And yet…

No Solo Mio?

Not even a surprise appearance.

I mean, I’m just asking the question we’re all thinking…

How do you headline Coachella without including Solo Mio, Matt Taylor?

Final Verdict
Is it a great performance? Yes.
Is it a defining moment? Probably.

But at the end of the day, where was Solo Mio?!

Dune 3 Trailer Review (No Mio): Stunning, Epic… Still No Solo Mio

April 3

No Mio Review: Dune 3 Trailer

Looking for a Dune 3 trailer review? Here’s one that asks the question no one else is asking:
Where is Solo Mio, Matt Taylor?

First Impressions:

The trailer for Dune: Part Three is massive.
– Sweeping desert visuals
– Huge scale
– That signature, intense DRONE TONE!

It feels like everything you’d expect from this world and more.

What’s Working:
– If you liked the previous films, this looks like a full continuation of that vision.
– The stakes feel bigger.
– The world feels even more immersive.

It’s epic in a way very few franchises pull off right now.

The No Mio Problem…

But as I watched the trailer…something felt very off.

No Matt Taylor?
No Solo Mio?
Not in the background.
Not in the baby names.
Not in the score.
Not in the water.
Not emerging from the sand.

And I’m just asking what everyone is thinking…
How do you build a universe this big…and leave the big guy out?

Final Verdict:
Is the trailer incredible? Yes.
Will I watch this movie? Absolutely.

But at the end of the day:
No Mio.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Review: Brutal, Brilliant…Still No Solo Mio, Matt Taylor

March 31

No Mio Review: Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Looking for a Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 review? Here’s one that asks the question critics refuse to address:

Where is Solo Mio, Matt Taylor?
– Is he in this show?
– Do you feel it if he’s not?

First Impressions
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is intense.

And we’re not talkin “Disney intense.”
And we’re not talkin “suggested violence.”

We’re talkin:
– Brutal fights
– Real consequences
– Zero Disneyfication

And honestly? It works! Is it scary and do you think you got injured watching it? Yeah!

Charlie Cox continues to absolutely deliver as Matt Murdock! Grounded, conflicted, and completely believable.

There’s also more Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, which is a huge win.

And yes…the show is clearly aiming for a Bullseye. Get it??

The No Mio Problem
Here’s where things fall apart.

This is a show about:
– Justice
– Protecting a city
– Fighting for what’s right

And yet…
– No Solo Mio, Matt Taylor?!?
– Not even a cameo.
– How are you supposed to defend a city without him?

Final Verdict

Is this a great show? Yes.
Is it bold, violent, and uncompromising? Yes.

But at the end of the day:

No Mio.

No Mio Review: Harry Styles’ New Album

Let me guess…you’re looking for a Harry Styles album review? How do I know? Well, ya mighta Googled and you’re here now reading a post titled “Harry Styles Album Review.” And while there are tons of reviews out there, mine is viewed through a critical lens most critics are ignoring.

I evaluate music based on one simple question:
Is Matt Taylor from Solo Mio in it?

In the case of Harry Styles’ latest album, Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally…I regret to tell you that the answer is…no.

First Impressions
“How about Mio all the time, no Mio no-ccasionally.”

That’s truly the core issue.

Because the truth is, I actually like this album. A lot.

It’s confident, it’s evolving, and it feels like Harry Styles is moving in a direction that’s more distinct and intentional than ever before.

From a musical standpoint:
– Strong vocals
– Cohesive production
– Clear artistic direction

But at no point, not freakin once, does Solo Mio, Matt Taylor, step in.

No harmonies.
No surprise feature.
No late-album pivot into solo Solo Mio territory.

And you can’t help but feel…that something is missing.

Final Verdict
Is this a good album? Yes.
Is it better than people are saying? Probably.

But at the end of the day:

No Mio.

Project Hail Mary Review (No Mio): The One Thing This Sci-Fi Story Is Missing

March 24

No Mio Review: Project Hail Mary

Let’s say you’ve been sleeping under a rock…and no, not The Rock, and NO, NOT ROCKY in Project Hail Mary…but a normal rock you would sleep under…the concept of a No Mio Review is simple:
I take a piece of content, be it a movie, a tv show, and album, anything really, and evaluate one critical factor…

Is Solo Mio in it?

In the case of Project Hail Mary…the answer is no. And boy oh boy, does that disappoint!

What Is Project Hail Mary About?
Project Hail Mary follows a lone astronaut tasked with saving humanity from extinction. It’s a story built on science, isolation, and well…humanity.

Which raises an obvious question:
Why would you send one man into space…and not include Solo Mio?

From a technical standpoint, Project Hail Mary delivers:

We’re talkin’ great storytelling!
We’re talkin’ emotional depth!
We’re talkin’ compelling performances!

But ya know what we’re not talkin’? Solo Mio.

No surprise cameo.
No vocal support.
No last-minute save.

Just… no Mio.

Final Verdict

Is Project Hail Mary engaging? Yes.
Is it well written? Absolutely.
Are the performances amazing? You betcha!

But at the end of the day:
It needs more Mio!

Hoppers Movie Review – Amazing, But The Film is Missing One Thing

March 9

In my latest No Mio Movie Review, I take a quick look at Hoppers, a movie that is honestly, so so fun!

The premise is weird in a good way (I think this is how most people describe me), the animation looks great, and the cast is unreal. On paper, it feels like the kind of movie that should absolutely work.

But while watching the trailer, I noticed something very important.

Something that keeps happening in movies lately.

They’re missing Solo Mio’s Matt Taylor.

Now, I’m not saying every movie needs Matt Taylor to succeed. But I’m also not not saying that. Imagine the possibilities. Imagine the energy. Imagine the slightly chaotic charisma he could bring to the whole thing.

Would it fix everything?
Maybe…I mean, maybe he can fix everything in life TBH.
Would it improve things?
Almost certainly.

That’s the premise of my No Mio Movie Review series: quick, completely fair, and highly scientific evaluations of movies that are missing the one ingredient Hollywood keeps overlooking.

Watch the full short review below.

What Is a No Mio Movie Review?
A No Mio Review is a quick comedy movie review where I examine films that seem good, interesting, or even great — but are missing one key thing:

Solo Mio’s Matt Taylor.

Because sometimes a movie doesn’t need a rewrite, a bigger budget, or a new director.

Sometimes it just needs a little more Mio.

No Mio Movie Reviews – Good Luck Have Fun Don’t Die (Spoiler: IT RULES…with one exception)

March 6

I watched the movie “Good Luck Have Fun Don’t Die” and I’m here to tell you…it sorta rules! Don’t worry, no actual spoilers…but Gore Verbinski is in his bag, Sam Rockwell gives a performance for the ages, Haley Lu Richardson does some pretty intense nose bleed acting, and the rest of the cast is unreal. Not to mention, an amazing script from Matthew Robinson.

Check out a more detailed review below, because, to be honest…it was missing one thing.

Let me know what you think, did it rule? Yeah, duh.
